Project CARS Rising Up UK Charts Despite AMD Gamers' Jealous Over Nvidia Promos; Boss Says “Nvidia Haven't Paid Us a Penny.”

After the release of Project CARS, it quickly rose through the ranks and is now enjoying top place in UK charts. The Community Assisted Racing Simulation (CARS), is the best-looking racing game at the moment, though contenders such as Gran Turismo 6, which is still underway may steal it if Slight Mad Studios can't squeeze out everyting their new racing sim has to give.

On release, Project CARS was warmly received by racing simulation enthusiasts and it became one of the must buy games of 2015. The graphics, though a bit shaky on the Xbox One, is generally wonderful and remarkable. A patch was recently released by Slightly Mad studios to fix the graphics issues on the Xbox and is expected to fix everything completely.

However, Project CARS on PC is a different story. AMD users felt the game snubbed them completely by plastering Nvidia logos throughout the game itself. Gamers using AMD based rigs also complain that the game is not "optimized" properly on thier favored GPU as compared to Nvidia, sparking issues that Slightly Mad Studios is working under the "influence" of Nvidia.

Ian Bell, Executive at Slight Mad Studios said in retort over the issue,

"Categorically, NVIDIA have not paid us a penny. They have though been very forthcoming with support and co-marketing work at their instigation. We've had emails back and forth with them yesterday also. I reiterate that this is mainly a driver issue but we'll obviously do anything we can from our side".

Though the AMD-Nvidia squable will generally end after Slight Mad Studios release patches that will fix the problems, the game will still need a somewhat high-end rig to play it perfectly.
