‘Community’ Season 6 Episode 11 Spoilers: New Cold War Paintball tribute to ‘James Bond’, ‘Bourne’ films; Sony considers ‘Six Seasons and A Movie’

Time to lock and load as "Community" pays tribute to spy-films on their new paintball episode titled, "Modern Espionage," which drops on May 12, on Yahoo. As the show nears the end of its sixth season, Sony is hopeful that they'll be able to pursue the Six Seasons and A Movie mantra of the show.

"Modern Espionage" is the show's another take on their paintball tradition that started during their first season. however, this season's paintball fight will be slightly different to its other versions. Joel McHale, who plays as the lawyer-turned-student-turned-professor Jeff Winger, said that the episode is a "Cold War paintball."

The new paintball episode will aim for a "Cleaner Greendale" that means less of paint splatters on the wall. The study group will engage in a gala with some dress-up dancing a la "Dancing with the Stars" while the game happens underground, paying homage to "James Bond" and "Bourn" films. McHale and Danny Pudi, who plays Abed, hint that a lot of people will still be shot (with paint) as the study group joins hand in hand. Eventually, their alliance will be broken by their own battles and death.

"Arrested Development" creator Mitchell Hurwitz will play an important role in the next episode as Koogler while Silicon Valley star Kumail Nanjiani returns as Deputy Custodian Lapari to be honored in the gala. "Modern Espionage" will follow the "Basic RV Repair and Palmistry" episode which had Abed turn the study group's road trip to dispose a Greendale artifact into a sci-fi feature film.

Now that "Community" is just a few episodes away from their season finale, Sony is vocal about their future plans for the show. The Six Seasons and A Movie phrase coined by Abed has become the show's mantra and have proven its supremacy even after NBC's cancellation. Sony Pictures Television boss Zack Van Amburg expressed his optimism for the show's fate after season 6, admitting that there's no reason not to pursue the movie.

"I'd be lying if I told you that we have not had some very early and preliminary conversations that are very exciting about what a potential movie could be and who might direct it. It's early but it's completely in our thought process," Amburg said.

"Community" continues its strong six-season run with their new paintball episode titled, "Modern Espionage." It will be slightly different from the other versions of the tradition but it will not be short of spectacular. Episode 11 will be streamed by Yahoo on May 12.
