"Miracles From Heaven" the follow-up to 2014's sleeper hit, Heaven is for Real has been given an Easter 2015 release. The faith-based film will tell the miraculous story of faith and healing.
The movie will be produced by the team of Joe Roth, Devon Franklin, and T.D. Jakes. The team was responsible for the success of Heaven is for Real. The film had reportedly grossed more than $100 million in ticket sales worldwide, making it into the books as one of the most successful faith-based films.
Miracles from Heaven is based on the true story of Annabel Beam. Her story was documented in a book penned by her mother, Christy Beam. The book documents how the young girl struggles for years with two life-threatening and incurable illnesses. Annabel at one time mentioned to her mother she wanted to "go to heaven and see Jesus."
The book documents that Annabel would be involved in an accident while she was climbing a 30-foot Cottonwood tree. The little girl had accidentally fallen into a hole where she remained unresponsive until she was rescued. Soon after her accident, Annabel would be miraculously cured of all her chronic diseases. Even more amazing was her account of meeting Jesus and visiting Heaven while on the tree.
Award-winning actress Jennifer Garner is set to star in the upcoming film. For her part, Christy Beam is excited that Garner will star in the film adaptation of Miracles from Heaven.
Christy Beam is excited to see the story of Miracles from Heaven providing hope and encouragement to others. She is also hopeful that people may be reminded that God is faithful in the little things. According to Beam, miracles doesn't need to be huge and grandoise in order for us to realize our faith in God. She emphasized that "He is there, He is real, He is active in your life."
The screenplay will be written by Randy Brown and will begin production this summer.
