NASCAR 2015 Kansas: NASCAR reaches out to younger audience; Jimmie Johnson wins 2015 SpongeBob Square Pants 400

Jimmie Johnson won the NASCAR 2015 SpongeBob Square Pants 400 at Kansas Speedway last Saturday May 9, 2015. The NASCAR racer won the prestigious event against rivals Jeff Gordon and Erik Jones. The event highlighted not only the top NASCAR drivers in the world but also featured the whole gang of the SpongeBob Square Pants television show to attract the younger generation of today.

NASCAR is after the attention of the new generation. This lead to SpongeBob Square Pants appearance in the recently concluded Sprint Cup in Kansas last Saturday, May 9. The event featured the biggest stars in racing that night including Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. Johnson ended up as champion of the event that night.

"You know, you're always looking for a younger demographic," shared by racing star Clint Bowyer. "And what better way to attract that younger demographic? I can't imagine any younger kid not wanting to come to the SpongeBob SquarePants race," he continued.

The fans base of the racing industry is more on the older generation. This is why NASCAR is trying to reach out to the younger kids to be able to trigger the children's interest in the racing field. Several racing stars are almost close to retirement. New racers, most likely from the younger generation are what the NASCAR aims to get by sponsoring such events. NASCAR event started out reformatting their website, created mobile applications and equipped social media and other modern mainstreams to reach out to the younger generation.

Jimmie Johnson is a six-time Sprint Cup champion and once again took this year's championship in the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup. The 400-mile race unfortunately was stopped after heavy showers. It was moved to a 15 mile racetrack after 98 of 267 lpas have been completed. Kevin Harvick landed on the second spot and Dale Earnhardt Jr. ended up in third place.

The NASCAR 2015 SpongeBob Square Pants 400 win for Jimmie Johnson is his 73rd win in the NASCAR Cup race. He is even considered as the king of his track type and is predicted to become a crowd favorite at the Charlotte Motor Speedway this end of May. He recently won second at the Talladega last May 3, and 3rd at the Richmond last April 26.

NASCAR is positively hopeful that the organizations efforts to reach out to new racers, from the younger generation will pay-off as soon as they have predicted. Meanwhile, Jimmie Johnson continues to enjoy the fame and fortune that comes with his recent success in the race track.
