The long-awaited Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains for Nintendo 3DS is finally coming to North America next week, 12th of May. While American players are thrilled, the same cannot be said for avid fans of the game in the Europe. The release date of the game in the region is still unspecified, with publisher Atlus giving a remark that the delay is due to "copyright claims".
Atlus U.S.A announced on their official Facebook page: "Unfortunately, there's a copyright claim in Europe, so the game will be known as SHINGEKI NO KYOJIN: Humanity in Chains in Europe. We don't have an exact launch date for Europe yet, but stay tuned!" Apparently, the copyright issue has something to do with the name, so the supposed May release date will have to be postponed.
The video game is based on the popular manga by the same name, Shingeki No Kyojin (Attack on Titan) by artist Hajime Isayama. It revolves around humanity's struggle to reclaim the lost world outside the Walls, according to Tech Times. At the forefront of this battle are the Survey Corps, comprised of titan-shifter Eren Yeager, his adoptive sister Mikasa, and their childhood friend, Armin. Led by Humanity's Strongest soldier Levi, the trio, along with their cohorts, fuel the revolution against the human-devouring Titans.
Attack on Titan is all the rage right now, prompting a variety of canon and non canon spinoffs in the form of visual novels, origin stories, as well as an ongoing anime adaptation and an upcoming live action film.
Altus recently released a new trailer for Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains, Game Informer reports. It features the Survey Corps battling it put with the monstrous Titans in their 3D maneuver gear. The characters include 104th training squad graduates Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Sasha. The breakout character Levi is also seen sporting his special moves.
The game will soon be available in America for an all-affordable $39.99.
