Dragon of Legends is an upcoming free-to-play cross platform 2D MMORPG developed by Thrive Games that will be available on Android, iOS, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Thrive Games is currently hard at work for their upcoming beta testing.
The new 2D cross platform MMORPG Dragon of Legends from Thrive Games is definitely interesting in that it is "heavily influenced by the mythic cycle of Gaelic Ireland and Norse Mythology, where the lights of faeries border the realms of darkness".
Step into the land of Havamal and choose your side. Does your blood run with the herd, fierce and proud, or are you a pagan savage as fearless as the sea? Two factions are introduced in the game: The Celts and The Norse. Which side will you choose?
Players are able to customize their characters in the world of Havamal in Dragon of Legends. All their actions are recorded in a journal viewable to the public. Each character has its own background, racial history, and character-speific story that will "provide direction, and motivation behind all of your actions". Characters acquire new skills and equipment as they progress through the game.
In true cross-platform spirit, the game is focused on the choices made by the players with their characters. Players are given a wide range of choices in order to achieve their desired outcome. Like-minded players can band together to defeat a boss, or create alliances against rival factions, or turn treacherous and betray their own. In the world created for Dragon of Legends, choice is imperative.
The game has yet to be slated for official full release. The game's alpha testing looks very 2D and incredibly intriguing. While Dragon of Legends beta test release has yet to be revealed, fans can check out their official blog site for a teaser of what is yet to come.
