"The Revenant," starring Leonardo DiCaprio, is said to be one of the top contenders for the next Oscars as the first images were released for the film and it attracted a lot of viewers during the CinemaCon. The plot of the thriller is very controversial showing the wild side of DiCaprio's character embodying the Native Americans back in the day.
"The Revenant" is about the true story of native Americans and with the combined talents of Oscar award winner director Alejandro González Iñárritu and cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki, the movie is set as one of the frontrunners for the next awards season.
"The Revenant" is a movie adaptation of the book written by Michael Punke that was published in 2003. The plot of the movie is about the remote wilderness and Iñárritu decided to just use the natural light in order to make the movie all the more believable taking the audiences to the time when the story took place.
According to many analysts, although the film is dark, harrowing, and painful, Leonardo DiCaprio's performance in the film is a must-watch and should really be highly anticipated by viewers. DiCaprio's appearance was disheveled unlike his other iconic roles and he stars as a fur trapper back in the 1820s. The trailer of the film was dominated by DiCaprio and it showed a lot of battle scenes that took place alongside a river.
Aside from DiCaprio, other notable faces that fans should watch out for in the movie "The Revenant" are Tom Hardy and Will Poulter. DiCaprio is to be mauled in the movie by a grizzly bear and was robbed by two men who he will be looking for because they abandoned him in his time of need.
"The Revenant" will be out in theatres by January 8, 2016. The film is very controversial as the plot will be taking on the native Americans. Are you excited to see Leonardo DiCaprio in "The Revenant?" Let us know in the comments.
