The latest evidence may have pointed to release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta this coming August.
Gamerant reported that a Norwegian retailer revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta will be available in August which falls in line with Game designer David Vonderhaar's statements. The developer sets the goal for the beta to be launched by August, although, an exact date is yet to be planned.
Those who placed a pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will have full access to the beta but neither Activision nor Treyarch established a time frame on when will it be available.
Vonderhaar answered fan queries about the game via Twitter where he apparently confirmed that the beta will be playable at home. A fan was reportedly thinking the beta was only playable at special events.
Also, Vonderhaar said that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will have the alpha unveiled at E3 this June and that the multiplayer beta is coming soon adding that the build for the game is almost finished in time for Gamescom.
It appears like Treyarch aims for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta to be launched before Gamescom and maybe able to make an exact announcement at E3 2015 next month.
Meanwhile, teasers on content have been making rounds online courtesy of a reliable source BiblicalReaper via a video on YouTube here. The tipster claims to be a new hire for Activision who has not yet signed a contract with the company.
Treyarch is purportedly using a new ranking system that has no prestige, instead running the gamut from 1 to 40. Ranking is gained as an accumulation of in-game actions, including kills, headshots, revives, perks, and others.
Moreover, level-ups don't have effects on fundamentals of gameplay but rather unlock emblems, and give very small but noticeable benefits, such as quicker revives and faster movement.
The disc will have four maps, described as locals: Zeitgeist, set in steampunk Chicago, is a gateway to dreamlike imagery, from Samantha, the content's narrator. The unnamed second map s set in the Maxis mansion previewed in the reveal trailer while the third map is set in a German village and will be the largest map in the game. The last map is called Nile, where the four original heroes return but find themselves in the pyramids of Giza. .
As for the storyline, Treyarch has eschewed the virus scenario- zombies come about as a result of voodoo, with a mix of elements from Egyptian curses and mysticism, and perhaps even some space travel.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is set to release November 6 on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
