Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will reportedly be launched alongside the new Samsung Gear A smartwatch in line with the Korean company's tradition of releasing paired up flagship smartphones with wearable gear.
Sam Mobile sources say that the double release will probably be at the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) consumer products trade show scheduled for September this year.
STJS Gadgets Portal predicts 4 to 5 months time interval for the release of the flagship Note after its earlier S series release which fits nicely with the early September trade show date.
Earlier speculations on the schedule of Samsung's first round smartwatch pegged a release in summer. However the recent release of its rival Apple smartwatch has pushed the company to delay its release, according to GSM Arena. The new release timing will allow hype about the first Apple smart watch to die down and prepare the Gear A to be a market success.
Sam Mobile though is saying that Samsung is simply following a more reasonable timetable for launches since there are already six Samsung smartwatches released only last year in the market.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is rumoured to be a lone release with just one version coming out, notes GSM Arena. The company's next high-end phablet-sized phone will come either with a QHD or 4K Super AMOLED screen and no 'edge' curve. It will be powered by Samsung's first all-in-one solution Exynos 7422 chipset with integrated CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, and modem on the same chip.
The Gear A will be the 7th generation gear watch for the company and is hoped to finally make an impact which the earlier generations failed to accomplish. Teases for the new Samsung gear show the watch sporting a rotating bezel ring. Sam Mobile has also reported that the company is teaming up with artists and name brands to create custom bands for the new flagship smartwatch.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 launch with the Gear A is also reportedly timed with the Apple release of its new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
