The third installment episode to the five-part episodic game Life is Strange from Dontnod and Square Enix will be available for digital download this coming May19th. Life is Strange Episode 3 entitle Chaos Theory will be available for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One,and Xbox 360 consoles.
Life is Strange is a third person graphic adventure drama that gives focus on story and the development of the main character, Max. Players are faced with a myriad of choices that may or may not have consequences for the immediate or long term future. Max is a young girl with the power to rewind time. Her seemingly non linear choices can result to larger consequences in her future endeavors, so players are tasked with making the most determinant choice that they can make in order for the story to progress.
After discovering that she has some sort of power to turn back time and saving her friend Chloe from being murdered in the girl's bathroom of Blackwell Academy, Max finds herself being a bit more brave with her newly awakened powers. In episode 3, Max and Chloe will once again embark on an investigative journey that will shed much-needed light in order to solve their present predicament.
According to Square Enix press release:
"In this next installment of Life is Strange, Max and Chloe's investigation into Rachel Amber's disappearance lead them to break into Blackwell Academy after dark, to search for answers. Secrets will be uncovered and Max will find another use for her power".
Praised for its new kind of story and incredibly affecting gameplay, Dontnod has done an incredible job with Life is Strange. The choices you make in Episode 1 and Episode 2 will be carried over to Episode 3: Chaos Theory so make sure you've finished those episodes first before embarking on the newest journey. The succeeding episodes will most likely come out arount six to eight weeks after the last episode, so players have plenty of time to complete their story arcs to prepare for the next one.
