Liam Gallagher reunites Oasis without Noel? Paul McCartney comments on the feuding siblings

By

Oasis news have perpetually been circulating that a reunion is in order but this time, minus one member. Will it still be Oasis without lead guitarist and main songwriter Noel Gallagher?

The unconfirmed news comes from a British Tabloid who claims to have spoken to a source close to Noel's brother, Liam Gallagher. The Sun via NME reports that the band will indeed reunite even if Noel does not join the lineup. "It's very early days but the wheels are in motion. Liam, Guigsy, Bonehead and Tony are all interested and keen to see how it can work", claims the source.

"They don't seem to mind Noel not being on board, even though some fans won't regard it as a proper Oasis reunion. But as Noel wants no part in the band, it's the closest they are going to get to a full-scale comeback."

Liam Gallagher is choosing not to comment to the still unconfirmed rumors, a representative informs NME. The Gallagher brothers are notorious for going public with their sibling rivalry without thought to the fans that have been loyal to them since their formation in the 90s. Noel Gallagher officially quit Oasis in 2009 saying that he can no longer work with his brother Liam.

Paul McCartney voiced his opinion on the sibling rivalry, stating that they should just "get to gether and make some good music," in an online Q&A with Japanese fans. "But they have got to want to do it. I think a lot of people would like them to do that. They are pretty cool guys."

Out in the other corner is Noel Gallagher and his career as a musician after quitting Oasis. He has been doing well for himself, minding his business and working with different artists on different projects. In 2011, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds released their self titled album and then subsequently went on tour.

Their new album Chasing Yesterday, was recently the subject of another heckle from Liam Gallagher, calling Noel "another prick in the wall" for having a saxophone on his new album. In an interview with NME, Noel Gallagher admitted that he was considering retirement from live shows within the following 10 years, stating that being on the road is not as it was when he was young.

It looks to be like Oasis reunion rumors will eternally be making its rounds in the media circuit. Will it still be Oasis if Noel Gallagher was not in it? If these circulating rumors had an ounce of truth, then fans would just have to wait and see how the band will turn out.
