Chelsea Handler has saddened her fans when she ended her "Chelsea Lately" show last year and she has come forward just now as to the real reason why she left E! The comedienne and talk show host pointed out that she no longer has a lot of respect to the network that is why she left.
Chelsea Handler was at the Power Women Breakfast San Francisco last Friday and she shared that although she was thankful for being able to give her friends some job in her show, she wanted to move on. She added, "I want to be somewhere where I respect the people I'm working with."
The comedienne also shared that she thought putting on a daily talk show was too easy and mind numbing although it was fun at first. However, she was no longer excited of coming up with new things for the show and though of the whole gig as a nuisance. She pointed out that she has been feeling that way since the fifth year of the show and noted that she wanted to do something else that challenged her and her mind.
As for her plans for the series she is working on as of the moment for Netflix, which will launch next year, Handler noted that she wants to do something interesting and original. She added, "I can make it more serious. I can make it silly. That was my reason for not taking a job at a network, is that I don't want to have a set format like that."
Chelsea Handler did not stop there noting that her shows every night would vary especially for the time frame. The comedienne shared that the show can be 30 minutes long for one night and the next night it will be 60 minutes long. She noted that she cannot have a set pattern since that is what drove her away from joining a TV network.
Handler has been in the spotlight for the past months after her exit from E! such as when she posted photos on Instagram showing off her breasts. The latest of her antics was when she wore a bikini bottom where Harry Styles' first name was embedded on the back part of the suit. She posted the photo on Instagram as she posed wearing the said bikini with Harry Styles of One Direction sitting beside her.
Handler is set to debut her Netflix show next year but has not given detailed information as to what the show will be about.
