It seems that the decade had completely been packed up with movie chains, reboots, remakes and spin-offs. From the upcoming Star Wars to the Jurassic World, even Kill Bill, Terminator and Saw is hot on the line.
And now the Power Rangers is nothing more than hot to be fused in the list, as there comes a reboot of the 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' which will be made by Lionsgate and Saban Brands.
The original movie, released during 1995, was directed by Bryan Spicer, who had been also known for For richer and Poorer (1997) and American Dreams (2002).
The story for the 1995 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was written by John Kamps and Arne Olsen. The story revolved as an egg was dug up from a construction site, releasing Ivan Ooze, who heaves on destroying Zordon as vengeance for imprisoning him hundreds of years ago. The Power Rangers then tries to gain help form the warrior Dulcea as their powers were lost and Zordon dying.
Now while the initial plot has been given for the modern reinvention of the film, as Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller, known for X-Men First Class and Thor, were already asked to do the story, several fans are probing as to who will do the directorial work, and who will star more so.
Director Dean Israelite, known for Project Almanac, was rumored to have been doing negotiations for the film. But it was said that these were far from the truth. But if it were true, it'll be a decision perhaps.
Though, it seems that we are still going to wait for a little while as it was recently announced that the movie will not come until January 13, 2017, almost half a year longer than the initial announced released date which is July 22, 2016.
The reason as to why the delay was still unannounced. But it was believed that Roberto Orci, supposed to be Executive Producer of the film, left the project due to scheduling issues, but that is yet to be confirmed.
