Apple’s Next Product Labeling to Force People Buy iPhone 6S, 2015 MacBook Pro; Here's Why

By

Leaked internal documents revealed that a number of iPhones, Macs, and other products are about to be labeled "Obsolete" or "Vintage" starting on June in Asia-Pacific, Canada, EU, Japan, Latin America, and U.S. These would prompt Apple customers to buy the iPhone 6s and the 2015 MacBok Pro, and drop the previous ones.

The iPhone models that are about to be dismissed from production are the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3G (China), iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3GS (China), which are going to be labeled "Obsolete" in Asia-Pacific/Canada/EU/Japan/Latin America and all Apple Retail Stores. In the U.S., these models are labeled "Vintage". Hence, users who still have these iPhone versions would be forced to buy the upcoming iPhone 6s iPhone 7.

Various Macs are also about to have "Obsolete" status on June.

The following Apple products to receive "Obsolete" status in AP/CN/EU/JP/LA and Apple Retail stores, and "Vintage" in U.S. are:

  • iPhone 3G
  • iPhone 3G (China)
  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPhone 3GS (China)

The Apple products that are going to be "Obsolete" in AP/CN/EU/JP/LA/U.S. and Apple Retail stores:

  • Original iPhone
  • MacBook Pro (17-inch, Mid 2009)
  • iMac (20-inch, Mid 2007)
  • iMac (24-inch, Mid 2007)
  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2.4/2.2 GHz)
  • MacBook Pro (17-inch, 2.4 GHz)

Other products:

  • Airport Express Base Station
  • Xserve (Late 2006)
  • Xserve RAID (SFP, Late 2004)

An "Obsolete" status from Apple means that it would no longer give service or repair support from Apple retails stores and authorized service providers. On the other hand, a "Vintage" status would require Apple to continue offering support but only applies to California and Turkey.

Latest rumors about Apple's iPhone 6s, as others call the iPhone 7, point to at least 10 killer features:

6. A9 processor with 2 GB RAM

7. Different casing materials and internal mechanical design changes

For the 2015 MacBook Pro, gossips were saying that the machine would be including the revolutionary Intel Skylake chips, the company's first ever 14nm nanochips that would offer a boost in processing speed and energy efficiency.

Obviously, these rumored specs and features in iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, and 2015 MacBook Pro far exceed than the ones in the "Vintage" iPhone and MacBook products, offering a revolutionized experience.
