KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently gave a new tip to investors that Apple is going to make a handful of changes to their upcoming iPhone 6s. These changes would include a new "rose gold" color option, 2 GB of RAM, 12 MP camera, and many more.
Once the iPhone 6s rolls out, users could expect "bending" and drop test issues settled, improved sound quality, and others.
A rose gold iPhone 6s
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently issued a new research note that revealed several changes that are set to be implemented in Apple's upcoming iPhone 6s. The tip pointed Apple as planning to release an iPhone 6 with new "rose gold" option. It was not specified though how much is it going to cost; however, it is expected that it's going to be a high-end luxury iPhone model.
The analyst was not able to give details whether the new rose gold iPhone 6s would be built with an "actual gold," similar to the high-end Apple Watch, or it would just come out resembling the gold color seen on the Apple Watch Edition. Nevertheless, this new color option would be another additional to Apple's current gold, space grey, and silver tones, which total to five choices already for the forthcoming iPhone 6s on September.
Significant iPhone 6s improvements
Additional details about the changes of the iPhone 6s product line would include:
- New design with different casing materials and restructured internal design, which was said to address "bending issues."
- A 5.5-inch "Plus" model might have scratch-resistant sapphire covers. With this, it is still uncertain if drop test issues could be settled.
- Another microphone near the iPhone 6s speaker would be added to give improved sound quality.
- Camera upgrade of up to 12 MP.
- Force Touch which would ensure an enriched user experience because of "more input methods and support of handwritten signatures."
- Upgrade Apple's A9 processor with 2 GB of RAM.
- Pre-installed Apple SIM
Contrary to rumors, Ming-Chi Kuo maintained his stand that there won't be a 4-inch iPhone this year, which he previously said that the 4-inch version would then be released in 2016. He also repeated that there would be an improved Touch ID sensor in the iPhone 6s.
As far as the OS is considered, the latest iOS 9 is speculated to run the 6s.
