The Gears of War 3 Remastered video game had a recent leak, which involved a couple of clips that suggest features of the game. However, this may have been only an accident as the footage, which was initially uploaded in the XboxDVR website, has already been removed.
Nonetheless, eager fans that are quick to move have been able to keep the teaser alive and watchable in alternative sources. These are available in GameSpot, where screenshots of the rumoured Gears of War Remastered also appeared on NeoGAF.
The latter shows two scenes beside each other. The first would be the player in position, seeing another armed character a few feet from him. The other view displays a dark alley with what appears to be a gun on the floor.
The videos leaked were described in a report from Polygon, saying that Gears of War had enhanced lighting effects, frame rate, and textures. The report also mentions that Splash Damage, with previous works such as Brink and Dirty Bomb, will be the developer for this remaster. It should be noted that the said title first had an announcement for Xbox One in April.
In terms of the release date of the next Gears of War, being the 4th, there have been hints that the title will be announced in the coming E3. This was teased by Rod Fergusson, the producer from Black Tusk Studios.
There has been news that Hanno Lemke has left Xbox, but Phil Spencer assured fans that this will not compromise the quality of the upcoming game. He says, as stated in FranchiseHerald, that the title is undergoing "massive progress." He is also confident that Gears of War 4 will not be considered as some form of reboot.
The Gears of War 3 Remastered and GOW 4 are going to be available for Xbox One but not Xbox 360. If the updates are true that these games will make an appearance in the coming E3, where their release dates will be announced, gamers should use the time to make sure they would have the right console at hand by then.
