A new patch for Mortal Kombat X was released Thursday which contains general gameplay fixes, character-specific changes and a new skin.
NetherRealm Studios has released a new patch for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game Mortal Kombat X. Many gameplay fixes were made such as various matchmaking and player skill rating improvements, ping meter accuracy improvements, along with the removal of the ability to mash normal attacks while continuing to block after blocking an attack.
The update also includes numerous character specific fixes, such as Kitana and Mileena now able to perform X-ray attack while airborne, Goro's Brutal Kick hitting overhead, Shinnok can also enhance Hell Sparks and Hell Blast on block, among others. The recent update also includes a new Klassic Reptile skin which was added for online compatibility reasons.
Game fans have been looking forward to the release of Mortal Kombat X patches and game updates since NetherRealm announced details of planned downloadable contents for the game. Last month brought the "Friday the 13th" character, Jason Voorhees, to the game with the MASKDMURDER Pack. And as promised by Ed Boon, Creative Director for Mortal Kombat X, other new downloadable packs will soon be released to game fans within the year.
Mortal Kombat X gamers are looking forward to three more packs from NetherRealm namely the Klassic Pack #1, HUNTERPREY pack and the Klassic Pack #2. It also seems that the latest patch added a peek of upcoming contents for the game such as new costumes and a new DLC character, Tanya. Tanya is an Edenian like Kitana and Rain. She, along with Rain, allied themselves with Mileena to help the ousted empress regain her Otherworld throne in exchange for the creation of a new Edenia.
While the latest patch is for PS4 and Xbox One consoles, NetherRealm did not provide details when this new patch for Mortal Kombat X will be made available for the pc edition given the many technical issues raised for that platform since the game's launch.
