Microsoft Surface Pro 4 vs. Apple iPad Pro: Windows 10, Fanless, Stylus-paired Surface battles iOs 8, Force Touch, NFC-enabled iPad

Anticipation of a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 vs. Apple iPad Pro face-off in the market is rising with the anniversary of the release of the highly successful Surface Pro 3 just around the corner. Several speculations on what both will exactly offer in terms of specs, features, pricing, and even the release schedule are floating around.

Reports point out a contest between the two tech company giants will eventually benefit the consumer with both trying to offer the better device. Surface Pro 4 is said to target Apple's iPad Pro.

What would both flagship gadgets offer the market in terms of specifications?

The rumor mill has churned out anticipation of a more powerful fanless tablet from Microsoft that uses the new Intel Broadwell chip. The tablet will also have small holes in the casing to facilitate heat radiation and dissipation. The fanless tablet will be thinner than the Pro 3 and quieter.

The stylus will be another game point between the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 vs. Apple iPad Pro with Microsoft already securing its access to the stylus technology by acquiring N-Trig, the Israel company behind its pressure-sensitive stylus tech.

Not to be outdone in expanding bases, Apple is reported to have partnered with IBM in the creation of new business apps for iOs. This new business-friendly slant for the next iPad carries with it an NFC functionality.

According to reports the NFC would make the iPad Pro capable to serve as a payment receiving terminal for the Apple Pay. The NFC could also allow the iPad Pro to pair with a stylus.

Rumor also highlight iPad Pro's carrying the Force Touch feature as it is reportedly scouts for thinner touch panels.

Talk in tech circles has the next Surface coming in two display sizes, a 14-inch and a 12-inch version. The next iPad is said to come in two versions as well with a 12.9-inch and a 7.9-inch to 9.7-inch sized display.

Surface Pro 4 is expected to be released in July carrying the new Windows 10 Os that will be introduced by then. Tech sites predict the same adding that the original scheduled release in September has been hijacked by an unintentional leak thereby pushing an early outing for the Windows 10.

Some reports cite an October launching for the iPad Pro carrying the latest Apple iOs 8. Other sources on the other hand point out that the Apple device will only go into production in September, making a 2015 release unlikely.

The battle of Microsoft Surface Pro 4 vs. Apple iPad Pro extends to the pricing, with the Microsoft device predicted to be priced lower than its predecessor Pro 3 and the Apple gadget coming in a little pricier than the iPad Air.
