The Kingdom Hearts 3 release date still hasn't been revealed by Square Enix. However, there is a possible hint in KH2 that, which if was true, will mean that the said title will be coming sooner than fans know it. Certain aspects of the gameplay also got its share of rumors.
This speculation was considered by Gameranx in its report from the theory from a YouTube user named, Cynnical. His footage shows Seifer Almasy, the young cersion in Twilight Town. He attends to Sora with bitterness, but agrees to offer a Struggle Trophy if the Nobodies chasing after his gang would be beaten.
Somewhere along the conversation, when Seifer is telling Sora concerns about his power, he says to return in ten years. This is where the supposed release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 lies. Going back, KH2 was launched on December 22, 2005 in Japan. For North America, it would be the succeeding year, on March 28.
If Square Enix intended this to be a sign, then that means that KH3 will be arriving this holiday season or early next year. Considering that the title was just announced in E3 2013, some fans are doubtful. More so, there have been a couple of games, Uncharted 4 and Tom Clancy's The Division, which were pushed back from their supposed holiday release.
In terms of gameplay, MCrunch takes favor in the possibility that Kingdom Hearts 3 will feature heroes from the Marvel world. This has been an intended sub-plot of Square Enix, and perhaps they are about to make it happen in this upcoming version. Of course, fans can hope to hear about this in the coming E3.
In other news, mobile users will be able to get a hold of the mobile game Kingdom Hearts Unchained X. It should be noted that the "x" is read as "key." As reported in iDigitalTimes, this game may be launched within the year. Moreover, the game director of KH, Tetsuya Nomura, explains how this mobile game will appeal to Western groups.
He says, "Since we are considering developing this game overseas, we have adjusted it accordingly. When our testing team in America had Smartphone users play it, if they saw cards as they appeared in KHX, they tended to think of it as the so called 'card games'."
With this impression, the company plans to use medals instead of cards, being a step of improvement from its predecessor.
Details on Kingdom Hearts 3 still lack clarity that eager fans want to hear. These rumors then should be held with certain caution until they have been officially verified by Square Enix. Gamers should hope that the developer will put things in to place by their E3 press conference on June 16, if not sooner.
