John Green's upcoming movie adaptation of "Paper Towns" starring model Cara Delevingne and "The Fault in our Stars" actor Nat Wolff has recently released its first TV commercial last Tuesday revealing the film's deeper theme of self-discovery.
Following the successful movie adaptation of "The Fault in Our Stars", "Paper Towns", another John Green-based novel is set to hit theaters a few months from now; and to stir the audience's long wait for the movie, the producers released a 1-minute TV commercial last Tuesday.
While some of the scenes are already recognizable from its first trailer, what makes this commercial different is how it presented the film's introspective theme of self-discovery. With poignant voiceovers, the film emphasizes a teenager's journey in discovering what's fake in life.
One of the notable additions to the second trailer is Cara Delevingne's character Margo saying "all the things that you want are out there," -an indication that "Paper Towns" is not just about Quentin finding Margo but also Quentin finding himself.
"Take a risk; stop playing it so safe -maybe that's what she's been trying to tell me the whole time," Wolff's Quentin "Q" Jacobsen reflects in the clip.
With Sam Bruno's 'Search Party" in the background, the trailer then ends with a wise line from Delevingne's character saying "you have to get lost before you can find yourself."
Aside from these poignant voiceovers and dialogues, the new teaser also features the pair's troublesome but epic night along with a few shots of Quentin letting loose with his friends as they go on a road trip of self-discovery while finding Margo who mysteriously disappeared.
"Paper Towns" is the 22 year-old model Cara Delevingne's feature film debut and is alos the second collaboration of Nat Wolff and John Green following "The Fault in our Stars" where Wolff played the role of Isaac, Agustus Waters' blind best friend. The mystery film is directed by Jake Schreier and is set to premiere on July 24th.
