LG Nexus 5 Release Date, Specs: 2nd Gen Refreshed Nexus Smartphone Under Consideration for LG Out this 2015; Huawei Nexus Phone in the Works

Google's upcoming flagship project has been the subject of many rumors recently. The LG Nexus 5 still remains in the shadows but many speculations had risen regarding its release date and specs. However, it was said that Google will be releasing two smart phones this year, the 2^nd generation refreshed Nexus 5 smart phone and the birth of the Nexus 6.

Up to date, many smart phone manufacturers - Huawei, LG and Motorola, have been expressing their eagerness in manufacturing the 2^nd generation Nexus 5. However, recent reports have confirmed that Google has chosen LG to manufacture the next generation Nexus smart phone. It would seem that Google had been making visits to various LG manufacturing sites - checking LG Display, Wireless Charging Modules, and Cameras with Optical Image Stabilization.

However, a certain report has claimed that Google will be putting out two Nexus smart phones this 2015. The 2^nd Gen Nexus 5 as stated earlier will be manufactured by LG (who has been partners with Google in producing high-end smart phones since 2012) and Huawei will be manufacturing a Nexus phone for the first time which as speculated will be a more affordable version of the smart phone.

The LG Nexus phone might possess the same characteristics as that of the LG G4 due to its warm reception from the market. Thus the LG Nexus 5 is to feature 5.2 inch display. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 chipset with a 64 GB storage. While the Huawei Nexus phone is speculated to have a 5.7 inch display and to be powered by either a Snapdragon 810 chipset or Huawei's own chipset , Kirin.

"If Google indeed rolls with both, it'd be the first time two Nexus phones came out in the same year - a strategy that makes a whole lot of sense to me as not everyone is into behemoths like a Nexus 6," said Artem Russakovskii from KnowYourMobile (via Ecumenical News).

But Nexus fans should be open to the possibility of choosing between to Nexus phones, especially this year. It might occur that the Chinese smart phone manufacturing company, Huawei will be producing Nexus phone and LG will be making the Nexus tablet. However, it could be that LG will be producing both the phone and the tablet, and that Huawei will be producing the budget version for both. But rest assured, when the Nexus phones come out, prepare your choices.
