Earnings reports may not seem like the best source for breaking news, but they deliver yet again with the news that NBA 2K16 and WWE 2K16 are coming from Take Two Interactive at some point in the fall.
First of the two major titles lined up for a fall release date is NBA 2K16. Continuing in the long line of successful basketball video games from 2K Sports, NBA 2K16 is yet again expected to draw in big bucks when it is released.
A specific release date for the game has not been set, according to Game Informer. Typically though, NBA games from 2K usually come out a few weeks or just a few days before the start of the NBA's regular season. NBA 2K16 is expected to come out on the PC, mobile, as well as on the Playstation 4, and Xbox One. It's unclear if the new title will be available to last-gen consoles.
A game that will be widely be available for last-gen consoles is WWE 2K16, according to Shack News. As the other major title spotted in the Take Two Interactive earnings report, the latest pro-wrestling game has also done well in reeling in the money, and the newest installment figures to have the same capabilities. WWE 2K16 was also given a specific release date of October 27, 2015, so fans can mark that date down right now.
Interestingly, there looks to be one more game set to come from Take Two Interactive, according to Gamespot.
The mystery game is said to be a triple-A title from the publisher, although no name was indicated. This unnamed game is expected to be released in the 2016 fiscal year for Take Two Interactive, so that means that it will be out prior to April of next year.
The earnings reports also indicated that GTA V has shipped 52 million copies for the PC, putting into perspective just how successful the open-world game truly is.
