Galaxy Note 5 set to ruin iPhone 6s Plus by its large 4100 mAh battery in just a 0.31-inch body, earlier-than-expected launching

Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 usually gets released a day before the IFA trade show, but this could possibly change as the company is set to announce the device as early as the end of July.

This was due to the development of the Galaxy Note 5 to be "faster than expected," and that Samsung decided to make the announcement earlier than the usual in order to have a "strategic advantage over Apple's impeding iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus announcements." This was the company's first year in which Samsung released the Galaxy Note as soon as possible, akin to the method the company applies to its Galaxy S flagships.

It was also said that Samsung may have a "legitimate reason" in rushing the Galaxy Note 5 launching since rumors said that the expected component yields for the Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus were found out to be "better than expected," and that Apple can release their flagship devices as early as August.

Samsung could be pressured about this rumor also because the company's decision reportedly has "a lot to do with the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus released last year," especially that both Apple devices have an "enormous amount of success" until now.

It was also speculated that Samsung might have showcased the latest Galaxy Note 5 already "behind closed doors" to global companies who may or may not sell the device on pre-order terms.

In terms of its specifications, the Galaxy Note 5 is rumored to have a 5.9-inch 4K Super AMOLED display, 64 GB/128 GB of storage, 128 GB microSD, 4100 mAh battery, and Exynos SoC chipset. A variant of the Note 5 is also expected to come along, a 5.78-inch Galaxy Note 5 Edge.

Despite having a larger batter, the device is still going to come out with a thickness that is only 0.31 in. (7.9 mm), which is thinner than its Galaxy Note 4 predecessor.

Samsung has yet to make official statements about the Galaxy Note 5.
