The "Black Panther" movie may be too far away to be a hype but the character will be gracing the Marvel Cinematic Universe as early as possible in the upcoming "Captain America 3: Civil War." How will the "Black Panther" a new emerging hero of the MCU fit in cinematically in a movie with popular faces like that of Captain America and the rest of the Avengers? A director is already being eyed for the film but may create a potential conflict since Ava DuVernay is being eyed for two Marvel movies, the "Black Panther" movie and "Captain Marvel."
Chadwick Boseman will be starring as the "Black Panther" in the movie with the same title as well as the upcoming "Captain America 3: Civil War." The least popular character from the MCU may seem to be having a hard time fitting in the plot of "Civil War" but in reality, his cameo role in the "Captain America" film is considered to be one of the most significant casts in the upcoming film. The "Black Panther" lives in Wakanda, the source of the Vibranium, the indestructible material that makes up Captain America's shield. It is also believed that the plot of the story will connect with the mystical land in Africa that holds hidden treasured of immense power and mysteries, something like the Infinity Gems.
Several villains are also rumored to be gracing both the "Captain America Civil War" movie as well as the "Black Panther" film. Based on earlier reports, the possibility of evil doppelgangers arriving on Earth to bring chaos and destruction are becoming stronger and can really be considered as a plot for the "Infinity Wars' movie under Marvel. The plot is based on the comic books of the "Infinity Wars" series.
Marvel Studios is having discussions with "Selma" director Ava DuVernay to assume duties for the "Black Panther" movie or the "Captain Marvel" movie. Reports claim that a black director is being eyed for the upcoming "Black Panther" movie while a female director is under consideration for the "Captain Marvel" film. DuVernay is allegedly weighing her options while she continues discussing with Marvel. Other directors are still being eyed for the project but names were not yet available for a reveal.
The "Captain Marvel" movie is slated for a November 2, 2018 release while the "Black Panther" film is due on July 6, 2018. A single director for both films will never work out due to conflicts in schedules.
