After much anticipation, 'Halo 5: Guardians' is set to be released this coming October 27 according to Microsoft - making it one of the perfect gifts for the holidays. The fifth installment of the Halo franchise is made by the same developer as Halo 4, the 343 Industries. Another good news is, it will be the first in the series to run at 60 fps.
Thorough details on 'Halo 5: Guardians' are not yet revealed, but two new animated posters have shown live-action dialogue between Spartan Locke and Master Chief. The new series may also unveil some dark secrets from Master Chief's past - including the mystery of his birth, and where the super soldiers originated.
The two animated posters are very similar, with both Spartan Locke and Master Chief narrating how much they want to kill each other. Rumors for the plotline include labelling Master Chief as a traitor. As the Colony worlds are attacked, Master Chief goes missing and the one that's sent to find him is no other than Agent Spartan Locke.
It is said that any huge revelations of the H5 story will probably take place at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which is held annually at the Los Angeles Convention Center, dates are from June 16-18. What made fans more excited was when Microsoft recently announced that 'Halo 5: Guardians' focuses a lot on multiplayer experience, in an arena-like atmosphere.
More than that, it's the first Halo to be on the Xbox One, and will probably be the only installment on the Xbox One. Game stores are already expecting to sell many copies of 'Halo 5: Guardians' come holiday season.
How about Steven Spielberg and Ridley Scott's TV adaptation of the sci-fi video game on Showtime network? We can only hope for the best, but it's said to coincide with the release of 'Halo 5: Guardians' this fall.
