The season finale of "Grey's Anatomy's" season 11 aired earlier this week and fans were very disappointed as there were a lot of questions that were left unanswered. Due to this, spoilers for season 12 were reported including the relationship status of April and Jackson as well as the journey of Meredith.
The first question that fans of "Grey's Anatomy" are asking is about the relationship of April and Jackson as it was not answered if they broke up in the finale episode of season 11 or if the two are just having some relationship setbacks. April asked Jackson if she could work overseas again and he told her that she could however, if she chose her career over their relationship, it is already the end of the road for both of them in terms of romance.
Although there was a big celebration of another couple, specifically Richard and Catherine, who got married during the season finale, one point of the episode showed April crying. As for Jackson, he celebrated the big day of the newlyweds and it was not clear if they already threw in the towel.
Due to this, the actress playing April's character, Sarah Drew, said in an interview that she and Jackson did not break up but their relationship is on limbo. The ultimatum of Jackson will be leaving April trying to figure out what she should do and that's what season 12 is all about.
As for Meredith's journey, season 12 is said to be tackling more of what she has gone through as her mother was the center of season 11 since she suffered from Alzheimer's at an early age. The question that fans are asking is will Meredith be hit with the disease this coming season? This remains unanswered.
Another question that fans want to know more of is the love interest of Arizona but this has been unanswered although it was reported that big things are set to happen for her.
The producer of "Grey's Anatomy," Shonda Rhimes, is working with her writers for the story of season 12 and will take a break by June. The cast of "Grey's Anatomy" is set to return to work by July and the 12th season will premiere sometime this fall.
