Fans of Andy and Haley were left hanging in "Modern Family" season 6 finale titled, "American Skyper." The sixth season closer centered on the show's adorable pseudo-couple while preparing the viewers for the show's seventh season, which might see a new baby and Alex' new struggles.
"Modern Family" season 6 ultimate episode once again teased the fans with the will-they/won't-they relationship of Dunphy's eldest daughter and Joe's "many." Andy (Adam Devine) was caught in the middle between Haley (Sarah Hyland) and his long-time beau, Beth (guest star Laura Ashley Samuels), who is in town to stir tension. However, showrunners decided to close the season with a cliffhanger that shook the Andy-Haley ship.
Meanwhile, the whole family is in the Pritchett abode to celebrate Alex's (Ariel Winters) graduation except for Phil (Ty Burrell), who was stuck in a business trip in Seattle. The head of the Dunphys managed to be "in" the celebration via Skype while his wife Claire (Julie Bowen) is trying her best to give Alex the best grad gift. On the side, Jay (Ed O'Neill) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara) has a bit of an issue caused by the latter's cousin who has overstayed in their house. Also, Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) is struggling to tell Cam (Eric Stonestreet) that he has been fired from work again.
ABC already renewed the show for another season to the surprise of no one since the sitcom has been one of their strongest bets next to "How to Get Away with Murder." Since series 6 concluded with a big question mark for Andy and Haley, "Modern Family season 7" might give the fans of the two some good news. Also, Mitch and Cam may finally come with a decision and have another baby. Next season will also save some Alex episode to discuss her struggles in college.
"Modern Family" season 6 ended with an Andy-Haley cliffhanger while adopting the high-tech concept of modern American lifestyle. With the events in the finale, season 7 may include Mitch and Cam having a new baby and Alex's academe-related problems.
