"Iron Man 4" is reportedly not happening anymore as Robert Downey Jr. shared in a recent interview with David Letterman that no plans have been out in the open regarding the fourth installment of the stand-alone film. Due to this, fans are asking what the actor is busy with and the answer is "Head Full Of Ghosts" and "Sherlock Holmes 3."
Although Robert Downey Jr. already extended his contract with Marvel, no word has been said regarding "Iron Man 4." What is assured is that Downey Jr. will still be part of the upcoming films of "The Avengers." "Iron Man 3" was out back in May 2013 and it has been more than two years since news about a fourth installment has made rounds on the internet.
Downey shared in the interview with David Letterman, "Just between us, no [Iron Man 4 is not happening]. But I'm going to do other stuff with Marvel. I'm still going to be involved with Marvel and there's gonna be plenty of fun stuff to happen." It remains unknown what the "Iron Man" franchise's faith is since he also said in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres that a fourth installment is set to happen.
According to a report, "Head Full Of Ghosts" is a thriller based on the novel of Paul Tremblay. It will center on a suburban in New England and a family will be torn apart when the 14-year-old member of the family will show signs of acute schizophrenia. The family then attempts to exorcise the 14-year-old teenager but will be subjected to a reality T.V. show, which will end in tragedy. Downey Jr. and his team is said to help with the production of the flick.
As for "Sherlock Holmes 3," Downey Jr. said last year that a script is being played around with but he is still busy with other films. However, he noted that he wants to do a third installment of the flick. Just recently, a Facebook photo was uploaded in Downey Jr.'s account and captioned it with the words "Master of Disguise." However, no other details were reported regarding the said film.
Robert Downey Jr. is yet to comment on his rumored upcoming projects and the truth behind "Iron Man 4."
