Daredevil's Iconic Red Suit Compared To Concept Art; Will fans love Charlie Cox even more?

By

The costume of Daredevil in the Netflix series starring Charlie Cox and fans of the Marvel superhero continue to expect more since the first season was a success. Due to this, the concept art by costume designer Ryan Meinerding had been released and it has been altered slightly although it is deemed to be very identical with the debuted costume in the Netflix series.

The comic book version of the red suit of Daredevil was a plain red spandex bodysuit but since the comic book series has become a live action series, the costume had to be altered for the actor to be able to properly portray how Daredevil combats his enemies and not fall short of what the fans expect.

It has been almost a month now since Daredevil first hit Netflix and it was reported in an interview with designer Ryan Meinerding that the concept art and the costume of the Marvel super hero for the film has a very close resemblance. Meindering worked with his colleagues namely Rodney Fuentebella, Andy Park, Jackson Sze, Josh Nizzi, and Anthony Francisco in order to achieve the final red suit of Daredevil.

Meinering shared, "The tone that was really communicated was the sense of realism that they were going for...I think the way that [manifested itself in] the costume was through the armor and making it feel a little bit more padded than you traditionally think of Daredevil being. When we do these designs, there's a concept of grounded and a concept of reality."

Analysts and fans of the show shared that the great thing about the Daredevil's red suit was the placement of blacks against the red and the detailed aspects of the costume. The costume of Daredevil for season one is said to evolve by the second season that will be out by 2016.

Daredevil's costume in the comic book series is very different from the red suit of the Marvel super hero in the Netflix series in order for the actor to work on his stunts and fighting scenes well. Are you a fan of that red suit or would you like Ryan Meinerding to change it? Tune in for season 2 of Daredevil on Netflix by 2016 to know if the costume had alterations or if it stayed the same way it was on the show's first season.
