Redbox is set to restock Fallout 3 games on the 16th of June, 2015 in their kiosks in North America. This might mean that there is an imminent announcement of the upcoming Bethesda Softworks game, Fallout 4.
Redbox kiosks in North America are set to restock Fallout 3 games on June 16th. Redbox kiosks only restock new games that are still in demand, and coincidentally, E3 starts on the 16th of June, 2015. Redbox kiosks only rent a few titles at once, and because of this, they only carry the greatest and latest games. It is rather unusual for a Redbox to carry a seven year old game.
It may be that Redbox is expecting a significant interest for the Fallout 3 title for the company to carry the game. They may have been tipped off or tapped on by Bethesda Softworks that there will be a major announcement on E3. This is just speculation, however, it will just be a waste of shelf space if there is not enough interest for the game, and no event to generate hype.
Bethesda already revealed an role-playing games will be showcased at E3 2015. There are two big role-playing games that Bethesda own: the Fallout series and the Skyrim franchise. There is a listing in LinkedIn that shows an employee had worked on Fallout 4's cinematic trailer. It is not far off, that indeed, Fallout 4 is the role-playing game that Bethesda is showcasing in E3.
There are rumors that Fallout 4 will be set on Boston and there is a character named Preston Garvey that will give the player a task to enter a musueum in the Commonwealth to get a very important item, a fusion core. Some of the rumors state that the new game will be set in Boston and that there may be a character named Preston Garvey who will ask the player to enter a ruined museum in the Commonwealth to retrieve a fusion core. The Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting Syste, or V.A.T.S. is the most probable to return as a core gameplay mechanic.
Bethesda Softworks' press conference is on June 14, 2015. Fallout 3 was released in 2008 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Fallout 4 is a unannounced sequel to Fallout 3, but there is a lot of information that confirms the development of the title.
