Singer Azealia Banks picked on Nicki Minaj, the latter's fans known as Barbz, and another fellow BET award nominee Iggy Azalea for her supposed nose surgery on Twitter. Azealia slammed the award-giving body for a few reasons.
NOT HER BET
On Monday, along with Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea, Azealia Banks was among the nominated singers for Best Female Hip Hop Artist for The BET (Black Entertainment Television) Awards which airs on June 28. The singer took to Twitter her disappointment for her misspelled name and other issues.
"@bet has thrown me such much shade over the years," she first tweeted.
In another Twitter post, Azealia said she hated being nominated for BET awards which she considers as "bogus". She went on to say that the Female Rap award anyway always goes to Nicki Minaj every year.
"It's not even a real award lol it's a bit of a running joke...They should just nominate nicki five times with five different wigs on and pick the best picture."
Not only that. Azealia also made fun of Nicki's fans called Barbz on the social media site as if hitting them with a car. She also anticipated what story urban media sites might make of her calling black media as "stupid and pointless."
BAD BLOOD
According to a report, Azealia Banks' bad terms with Nicki started in 2012 when the former refused to collaborate with the singer for her album. This is not the first time that Azealia had waged a word war on Twitter with Iggy as one of her targets. In fact, on the same day, Azaelia posted something about Iggy's alleged recent plastic surgery.
"Never let the same doctor who did your butt do your nose. Your nose will come out looking like a butt..I promise," she said.
Meanwhile, aside from Nicki Minaj, Azealia and Iggy, Dej Loaf, Tink, Trina complete the list of nominees for the said category. A report also says that apart from Azealia, the BET awards also received attacks from jazz trumpeter Dev Hynes. He took to Twitter saying that the awards should just be called as the "Mainstream rap/RnB/Pop with black people Awards". He said black artists are not just rappers and RnB singers.
No reaction yet from Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea or from the BET Awards regarding Azealia's recent post has been heard yet even on Twitter.
