By

After seven years of hiatus, Janet Jackson makes a comeback with a new song and album. Fans were surprised to hear the voice of Janet Jackson herself which she uploaded on her Twitter account the night before her 49th birthday.

STRAIGHT FROM JANET'S LIPS

On Friday night, Janet Jackson took to Twitter a 50-second video of her voice-recorded announcement. With a soothing music as background, the singer teasingly said,

"I promise you'd hear it from my lips...and now you will. This year...new music...new world tour...a new movement. I've been listening. Let's keep the conversation going."

The post has garnered more than 4000 favorites and 5000 plus retweets from followers who have been missing the singer after not being in the limelight for the past few years. Some expressed their excitement and support. Jackson used the hashtag "Conversations in a Café" but did not elaborate about it. The singer has been retweeting the same hashtag this month from posts concerning social issues such as sex trafficking, the Haiti earthquake and casualties in Afghanistan and other parts of the world.

KEEPING HER PROMISE

Janet Jackson's recent announcement was in answer to a promise she made last August wherein she tweeted that if she has any new project, fans would hear directly it from her lips. A report said she addressed this in response to information that a new album is ongoing.

Jackson's latest and tenth album was in 2008 entitled "Discipline". A source says she was last seen around that time especially after her brother Michael Jackson died in 2009. Jackson went into acting in 2010 and secretly got married to Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Amana who is her third husband.

Fans will need to listen for more updates on the title of Janet Jackson's new album and other details about it as well as her world tour and new movement, since she has promised to keep the conversation going.
