Mistresses Season 3 Premiere Spoilers: Video Teaser Features Alyssa Milano-Replacement Jennifer Esposito as the New Hot Mama in 2-hour Show

Mistresses Season 3 released a video trailer of its upcoming season showing how it is bringing back its sizzle to summer television with new cast member Jennifer Esposito. Esposito replaces the slot vacated by Alyssa Milano who left the series at the end of the last season.

The video made a recap of the previous season's highlight with a runaway bride, a jilted lover, among other summer loving adventures of the show's mistresses. The season teaser promises more drama, hot mamas, saying the season premiere is "so juicy" as the reason for its being two hours long.

Esposito will play the role of the "uber-fabulous and larger-than-life" Calista Raines. Esposito's Calista will be the "friend, mentor and surrogate sister" of Jes Macallan's Joss who lost her sister Savi (Alyssa Milano).

Earlier releases described Calista as the Creative Director of a luxury fashion brand. The character will have a high-class socialite lifestyle, a wicked sense of humor, and style. The new hot mistress of the series will however struggle with loneliness. Her "fun eccentricities will cloak a darker, more devious nature." The tease also anticipates Calista bringing Joss "deeper and deeper into a world of secrets and betrayal."

Milano left the series citing the filming relocation to Vancouver, Canada as the reason. "After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of Mistresses in Vancouver, Canada for financial reasons," Milano's said in a statement after the announcement that the series was renewed for its 3^rd season. "It's with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can't relocate. I have two babies under four. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just cannot uproot my children and separate the family by moving away," added the actress who played Savannah "Savi" Davis in Mistresses.

Esposito will be joining the previous season's mistresses, Macallan (Joss), Rochelle Aytes (single mom April), and Yunjin Kim (hot mess Karen).

Mistresses Season 3 returns to ABC on June 18 at 9pm.
