‘Dancing with the Stars Season 20’ Finale Crowns Rumer Willis-Val Chmerkovskiy; Dancing Couple's Smooth Start to Finish Fated to Win It?

"Dancing with the Stars Season 20" Finale has crowned Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy as the winners for the grand finals in the high-caliber professional dancing competition. The duo has taken home the most coveted gold-plated Golden Mirrorball that was aired last Tuesday, May 19, at 9 PM on ABC.

From the finalists' performances, basing on the scores from the judges, Bruce Willis's daughter Rumer and her partner Val earned perfect score of 40 in their Foxtrot redo and another 40 under the freestyle category and was graded A++ by US Magazine, with the additional "plus" coming from Val playing the violin.

However incredible as that may sound, the scores reaching the roof were not enough to get them the grand prize, as another pair of competitors also garnered the same scores. Riker Lynch and Allison Holker who exhibited body transformations also earned scores of both 40 in their redo of Paso Doble and their freestyle dancing and Grade A+.

This has created a relieving distance from the tight battle among the three left pair of finalists as the war veteran Noah Galloway and her partner Sharna Burgess scored 32 in their Argentine Tango but a score of perfect 40 in their well - received freestyle dancing. The duo gained a grade of A overall - no plus.

The "24-Hour Fusion Challenge" then followed to completed the leaderboard that was made not only to test the professional dancers' creativity but also their ability to work in a time-pressured environment, and this ultimately determined the winners for this season's "Dancing with the Stars."

Seeing that Rumer and Val created their music for their freestyle in addition to their dance places them up a ladder ahead from the two others and this fusion challenge might just have proven that.

During the night of the grand finals, a number of popular artists who performed their respective numbers scattered throughout the show made the night festive, lessening the anxiety of both the finalists and their parents, including the actor Bruce Willis himself who came to support his daughter Rumer Willis - and later on the tough actor being shown a little teary eyed from awe and pride for his little sweetheart.

Jason Derulo took the center stage with his car in his "Want to Want Me" performance. Others include Andy Grammer who did fabulous in "Honey I'm Good", Fifth Harmony in "Worth It", and Sia caught the crowd in trance with her "Elastic Heart" and then there's the Hough siblings dancing together along to Sia's song.

"Dancing with the Stars Season 20" Finale grand winners Rumer becomes the third star ever to get six perfect routines in a single season while this marks Val's first win in his eighth season in the show, cracking his record as the longest-running active pro without a win.
