The Evil Within will receive its third and final add-on come May 26, 2015, as Bethesda Softworks confirmed with a trailer release. The downloadable content is called The Executioner and it gives players control of the newly introduced character called The Keeper.
For the PlayStation version of The Evil Within, it has been updated to include new trophies. The trophies are both of Bronze and Silver variety. For the bronze trophies, the following appeared in the game's trophy list: Nosy Parent (Collect all Daughter's Diaries in The Executioner), I Might Close Early (Purchase all time in Shop), Krimson Chainsaw Massacre (Kill 10 basic Haunted with the chainsaw), Trapper and Keeper (Kill 10 basic Haunted with environmental traps in The Executioner), Got to Destroy the Brain (Use Executions on 20 basic Haunted), Home Invasion (Clear the first and second floors of the manor house in The Executioner, and The Craftman's Tools (Clear the basement of the manor house in The Executioner). For the Silver Trophies are the following, Cruel and Unusual (Complete all Torments) and I've Got Box of Steel (Clear The Executioner without taking any damage). A hidden trophy for this downloadable content is now also available.
The Executioner feature a series of battle arenas. In these battle arenas, the players face monsters and villains from the game, all in a new perspective. Players can now wield The Keeper's spiked hammer. Players get to enjoy new weapons and upgrades as they progress, as they also learn all about the background story behind the identity of The Keeper himself.
For those who won the season pass of The Evil Within, this is the final add-on. The three downloadable content also includes episodes from the two previous DLC, The Assignment and The Consequence and priced at the $19.99. The Executioner is available separately for $4.99.
The Evil Within was developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks was released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The Executioner is set to be released on the 26th of May, 2015.
