DOOM 4 Teaser Trailer Shows Horror Shooter Scene: Bethesda cancels title due to identity crisis? Doom reboot announcements in E3 2015 press conference

By

Doom 4 shows what it might have been through a leaked trailer, which hinted its gameplay and features. With Bethesda having the chance to showcase its games in E3 this June for the first time, this franchise is something to look forward to. Fans should keep in mind that the press conference for the publisher will be on the evening of June 14, Sunday.

The teaser for doom showed a demonic hell spawn and a loaded shotgun, as mentioned in a report. The sequel for id Software is referred to as Doom, though, as opposed to Doom 4. This is because the intention would be to make a reboot rather than an entirely new game.

According to GameSpot, this video should not be mistaken as in-game captures. Instead, these were cinematics designed by Blur Studio. The company has been hailed with awards, with its portfolio including scenes for Elder Scrolls Online, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Halo.

The problem with the leak for Doom 4 is that its identity is mixing up, whether it really has a demonic flair, or it is just another military shooter. Due to this lack of distinction, the title which was introduced in May 2008 was eventually pulled down after three years. From there, Bethesda just intended to make a reboot of the game, although id Software was really hoping for a complete sequel.

Pete Hines, the marketing VP of Bethesda commented on the title and said, "I think what the guys at id are working on is... they're pushing the boundaries and challenging themselves. I don't want anybody to look at id's next project and have this reaction that it's still stuck in the 90s."

Doom 4 will not be gracing fans anytime soon, despite the footage that was seen on the internet. However, Bethesda will still push for a reboot for the Doom series, which will likely have more announcements in terms of the release date and game features in their E3 press conference.
