HTC One M10 could be the flagship product that could put HTC back on the map. Although, not necessarily a fledgling enterprise, the Taiwanese firm is still to see its field day in global smartphone sales - a dream that was dashed by a not-so-spectacular sales of its latest showing HTC One M10.
However, there could be more reason to believe HTC's next flagship product, HTC One M10, may not see 2015 at all. Recent reports that surfaced from Chinese news site Yidaba point out that HTC is planning to move the smartphone's release by 2016 - eventually doing away with a 2015 showing.
Such a strategic move will ran counter to what was earlier reported which detailed the desire of the Taiwanese tech titan and manufacturing partner of Google (Nexus 9 tablet) to flood the market with more devices before the year ends. Initially, a December 2015 launch was what appeared on the radar for the HTC One M10.
If and when HTC proceeds with a 2016 launch, the date of release could fall in March, in line with HTC tradition for past launches.
Possible as it may sound, a delayed launching will disable HTC from making the most of the holidays, time when people usually splurge on their buys. Consequently, this would contradict what was earlier predicted.
Again, we are in speculative mode here. Devoid of an official announcement by the company itself.
In the mean time, HTC is currently seeding Android 5.1 Lollipop OS update to its slew of flagship smartphones: HTC One M7, M8 and M9. No official word has also been given as to the arrival of the latest Android 5.1.1 OS.
As many may have known right now, HTC One M10 is expected to don the following killer features:
- Bigger screen display compared to its predecessor
- 2k-4k resolution
- Qualcomm 82X with 3.X GHz Octa-core HMP cyclone technology (6 instruction per cycle capability)
- 4GB RAM
- 27 MP front and back camera
To start at $650 and higher, HTC's future flagship smartphone will boast of water-resistant and dust-proof features. That should make the HTC One M10 more than amazing!
