"Outlander" is down to its final episode following the controversial torture scene that took place in episode 15 titled, "Wentworth Prison." As the show is gearing up towards its season one finale, the cast and crew members have already begun filming for the next season, which will take on a completely different look. "Outlander" season 1 episode 15 titled, "Wentworth Prison" aired one of the most shocking and painful scenes in the history of television. As the show is down to its last episode titled, "To Ransom A Man's Soul," showrunner Ron Moore revealed to Zap2It that the first season will end in a dark place.
"When all is said and done and it's put together, it's a harrowing journey, but it's also - satisfying is a weird word to use, but it is a satisfying story and I think it's shocking in a good way," Moore explained.
The showrunner also admitted that he is "proud" of where "Outlander" ends up in season one, especially with the actors who successfully portrayed their characters on screen along with the staff and crew who helped put all the elements needed to make everything work together.
Meanwhile, the cast and crew of "Outlander" have already begun filming for season 2. The story will be taken from Diana Gabaldon's second book from her eight-book series, "Dragonfly in Amber." As most fans of the book are aware that most of the scenes will take place in Paris, Moore has previously revealed that season 2 will be filmed in Scotland.
"Outlander" season 2 will also take on a completely different look, as the characters will sport a brand new wardrobe in different fabrics with varying colors. Moore's wife, Terry Dresbach, will remain in charge of the costume designs for season two.
"Paris was bling. It was much more fashion-forward. There's much more gold in the sets, there's more finery and gilt and candelabras and that sort of thing in the background," he said.
"Outlander" season 1 finale airs on May 30 on Starz.
