"Outlander" will be concluding season one with an episode titled, "To Ransom A Man's Soul," which airs on May 30 on Starz. The show recently aired one of the most controversial scenes to hit the television in the episode titled, "Wentworth Prison." Tobias Menzies, who plays Black Jack said that his character "likes a challenge."
The cast and crew of the time traveller series have already begun filming for season two and fans can expect that their favorite characters, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) will be getting a wardrobe makeover in the upcoming season. "Outlander" season 2 will cover Diana Gabaldon's second book, "Dragonfly in Amber," which is mostly set in Paris.
While showrunner Ron Moore has made it clear that most scenes in "Outlander" season two will be shot in Scotland, the characters will be getting the Paris "bling." Speaking to Zap2It, Moore explained that the show will be getting an entirely new look for the next season with new designs and new colors in different kinds of fabrics.
"Now you're dealing with the court of Louis XV, you're dealing with French aristocracy," Moore explained.
The showrunner also said that Paris was "the fashion leader" during that time and this called for a complete fashion makeover under the supervision of his wife, Terry Dresbach.
Meanwhile, the Starz time traveller series recently aired one of the darkest scenes in its latest episode, "Wentworth Prison." While Black Jack is seen by most fans as nothing but a pure maniac who tortures his victims physically, sexually and mentally, actor Tobias Menzies defended his character and explained that there is more to Black Jack than just torturing Jamie.
"Ultimately, it's not about Black Jack just being evil or nasty; it's about Black Jack wanting to break Jamie and wanting to break this love he has for Claire," Menzies said.
"Outlander" season 1 finale airs on May 30 on Starz.
