‘The Blacklist’ Season 3 Spoilers: Will Tom Help Red Keep Liz Keen Safe?

By

The upcoming third season of "The Blacklist" has teased fans for an all-new approach to the hit NBC series.

According to multiple sources, the series will have new plot twists while still employing the same set of characters. Throughout the entire season, new characters could also be introduced.

A report by Entertainment Weekly noted that a change in the series' plot and format could benefit Boone's character because Liz is much less appealing compared to Spader's Red character.

Meanwhile, fans are interested to know how Red (James Spader) could keep Liz Keen (Megan Boone) safe this season. Some of them are speculating that Red could team up with Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold), according to Latin Post.

However, as of late, such reports have not yet been confirmed by the creators of "The Blacklist."

In a recent interview with Zap2It, Boone talked about her character's future now that Liz will no longer be working with the law.

"If you break open the entire task force, then it will be challenging to try to find the procedural aspect of the show again. With 22 episodes a year, it does benefit the show to have some kind of a formula. But we are going to sort of break open a lot of the structure in the show," she said.

In upcoming third season of "The Blacklist," Boone revealed that Liz will be figuring out who among the members of the task force can she still trust.

"In the season finale, Liz realized she is being framed by The Cabal forcing Red to use his connections to help her clear her name. As Cooper received shocking news, Ressler, Samar and Aram must decide on who on the task force can still be trusted," the official synopsis of the finale episode read.

"The Blacklist" season 3 will premiere its first episode on NBC this coming September.
