The highly anticipated appearance of a villain named Harley Quinn in 'Arrow' Season 4 is not happening. Despite having already featured in a promo video and providing her voice in the second season, the show has to give her up because of her role in the upcoming movie called 'Suicide Squad'. On the other hand, the man who helped Oliver in flashbacks in Hong Kong and died, Maseo Yamashiro, is set to return.
Since season 2 and after she was featured in a promo video, many fans have been quite psyched about Harley Quinn's appearance for the upcoming season. But now, the villains' storyline for 'Arrow' Season 4 has been set aside.
Willa Holland mentioned in an interview that Joker's lover is supposed to have a bigger role in 'Arrow' before the 'Suicide Squad' movie was announced. The villain-studded movie has included the fan-favorite Harley Quinn. That is why she won't appear in the 'Arrow' Season 4.
On the other hand, 'Arrow' Season 3 introduced Karl Yune as Maseo Yamashiro, the man who helped Oliver in flashbacks in Hong Kong and eventually became a member of the League of Assassins. Although we saw him died in Season 3's second to the last episode, the actor Yune teased fans his return in Season 4.
Another, 'Arrow' Season 4 will possibly be delighted by Green Lantern, who is said to be played by John Diggle. Speculations surfacing around that Diggle will become the superhero Green Lantern. And if you happen to remember, Ollie told John Diggle to wear a mask, as they parted ways in the last part of Season 3. The mask could keep his identity safe, especially that he had to protect a family. But If Diggle will not become Green Lantern in Season 4, we are sure that he will be wearing a mask and fighting against crimes.
