'FIFA 16' New Leagues includes Brazil, Chile, 3 South American; UEFA Champions League is EA Sports Next Big Project?

By

Adding new leagues on "FIFA 16" is an expectation from video gaming community that EA Sports is likely to make real. Brazil and Chile, and three more South American leagues, are recently named as the most possible leagues that will be added to the game.

Of five leagues, Chile is expected to be the true right now as this is backed with a confirmation from a Chilean Football Federation spokesperson. EA has also held talks with Brazilian league and championship for the same purpose, although no conclusion has been reached yet as of this time. This is not the first time that EA has tried talking with the organization to include it in the video game. In 2014 EA considered including Brazil to the game for "FIFA 15", but the talk did not end up in a mutual agreement.

Mexico, Columbia, and Argentina - all belonging to South American leagues - are also likely to be included in the new leagues on "FIFA 2016". Domestic leagues like Chinese Super League, Jupiter Pro League, and Korea K League are also in the complete list of football teams that EA is trying to add to its lineup of available leagues.

This drive to increase the leagues in the franchise is not merely about trend, but also a way for EA Sports to catch up especially since its rival Konami revs up its leagues for their equally popular Pro Evolution Soccer video game. EA is also keen on obtaining the UEFA Champions league permit for its plan of developing a standalone Euro title, as its way of keeping in step with Konami's PES.

In the midst of it all, the company has been actively developing "FIFA 15 Ultimate Teams," a supplemental game that is also popular among franchise users. As per whether the company will create a sequel or continue to develop "FIFA" as a standalone title, EA has to announce it yet.

Aside from new leagues coming on "FIFA 16," refinements and new gameplay features are also anticipated. There have been reports before that EA has apparently been monitoring the community and online forums as the company seem to be "planning to include various features that have been discussed for a while now."
