Nvidia is expected to release the GeForce GTX 980 Ti at the Computex in an effort to be one step ahead of its main competitor, AMD, which will reveal its AMD R9 390X card and its progress in the development of the industry's first HBM architecture
Along with the specs leak were the actual photos of the GeForce GTX 980 Ti. These pictures reveal that it has little differences in appearance in comparison to the Nvidia GeForce Titan-X other than the shroud color. The GTX 980 Ti sample has a 6-pin and an 8-pin power connector, and has no back-plate installed.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti has 2,816 CUDA cores and 6GB GDDR5 Hynix memory on a 384-bit interface. The base clock of the GTX 980 Ti appears to be 1000 MHz with a boost clock of 1076 MHz. GeForce GTX 980 Ti has a lot of overclocking potential. Out of the box, users can expect it to perform like the Titan X with minimal difference. The difference between GM200-400 and GM200-310 is only seen in Performance Preset.
A different report shows a GPU-Z screenshot, but covered the ROP information which leads to suspicion of a reduction in the particular capability.
At any rate, people who've been waiting since the start of the year to get their hands on the Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti will be able to by Wednesday next week.
