Suzanne Collin's The Hunger Games Trilogy film adaptations are being a big tease right now: First, there's still no proper trailer and second, this is apparently not the last time we will see the rebel Katniss "Mockingjay" Everdeen which is played by our quirky Jennifer Lawrence.
Lionsgate have yet to release the full official trailer of the movie and yet the release date is coming closer. Only six months of waiting for the Mockingjay!
The only thing Lionsgate have offered last March to the fans of the franchise is a snippet of Jennifer Lawrence's voice saying to her fellow rebels "turn your weapons to the Capitol".
Aside from that, there's still no other teaser. And surely the fans are very teased!
In addition, there's a rumored possibility that this might not be the last time we see Katniss. Apparently, a prequel and sequel of the franchise is possible. Yes, the books have ended but the writers could divert from the books and expand the franchise (that is what HBO's Game of Thrones is doing and they're doing good).
In an interview with a magazine, Jennifer Lawrence was asked about the rumor and answered, "I would totally do it."
In the rumored prequel, the plot could tackle more about the relationship of Katniss Everdeen and her best friend, who has fallen in love with her, Gale Hawthorne's relationship (and a probable love story). Gale is played by Liam Hemsworth in the franchise.
The CEO of Lionsgate Jon Feltheimer revealed that they are "actively looking at some development and thinking about prequel and sequel possibilities for 'The Hunger Games."
The franchise has a lot of possibility, really. But one thing's for sure, we'll now know how the rebelion in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 will end when it will be released theatrically in November 20, 2015 in the iMax 3D format, regular 3D and 2D.
