"The Flash" season 2 will return for its sophomore season in just a few months, but as early as now, Grant Gustin, who plays the role of Barry Allen, already unveiled exciting spoilers from the upcoming installment of the hit The CW show.
In a recent interview with BuzzFeed, the actor confirmed that he already knows the direction season 2 will take even though there are no official scripts yet.
"There are no scripts yet, but the producers have broken the second season to me and it's going to be amazing," he teased.
The actor added that he is looking forward to the upcoming season because Barry will experience new things and the character will also learn how to become more confident when using his superpowers, Christian Post reported.
"It's going to be even more comic book-y, which is fun, and it's going to go in the direction I want to go with Barry, which is a little more confident and cocky with his powers," he said. Meanwhile, the "Glee" alum also looked back on what it was like playing the titular role of "The Flash" for all of its 23 episodes in season 1, IBTimes noted.
"It was scary. That immediate feeling of being so, so happy to --- maybe not even five seconds later - feeling so much fear. My stomach dropped and I wondered if they'd made the biggest mistake ever, making me a superhero. Those fears creep in and I felt like, 'This is 'The Flash.' If it fails, that's my fault,'" he said.
However, Gustin does not really have to worry about anything because "The Flash" became one of the most successful new shows on The CW last year. Additionally, the actor has to thank the entire team that made "The Flash" possible, singling out producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns.
