Mi 4i will soon be followed by Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi 5 Plus sooner than most people think. International Business Times reported that the two new additions to the flagship series will be out in July this year and will have significantly better hardware than its predecessor.
The new Mi5 will have 5.2 inch screen, with octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, along with a 3GB RAM. From 13 megapixels, the rear camera will have 16 megapixels. Reports are also out that it may have fingerprint ID technology. Plus, it will have a 3,000mAH for longer life.
Meanwhile, the Mi 5 Plus will have a 6-inch screen that has a 2k resolution. It will have the same processor as Mi5, but it will have 4GB RAM. Its camera will have Optical Image Stabilization.
According to NDTV Gadgets, the new information about Xiaomi's upcoming flagship first popped up in Weibo, which is China's Twitter. The leak confirms all the specifications described above. However, the information I the leak hasn't been officially confirmed by Xiaomi, which means it is still questionable.
Mi5xiaomi.com claims that Xiaomi is considered the "Apple of China," providing for most Asian countries including Singapore, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Challenging Apple and Samsung and a recent funding of a billion dollars, Xiaomi is now worth around $45 billion. This is massive achievement for a 4 year old company.
This company is on the move to penetrate a bigger market, including the UK, and other European countries. The company does not want to be limited to the Asian market. The company recently released their Xiaomi Note 2 and Note Pro. If the company will really push through with the Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi 5 Plus, going international will be very possible.
Regardless how promising the product is because of how fast its mother company has grown, the consumers will ultimately be the judge whether this certain "promising" Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus gadgets will beat its major competitions.
