The 'Avengers 3: Infinity War' is expected to bring together a stellar cast of superheroes - Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the Incredible Hulk - and a set of new ones. 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star Chris Pratt gave some hints at a possible crossover in a recent interview.
The galaxy Star Lord told GQ Magazine that "I'm tied to doing three more, or five more, Guardians of the Galaxy or whatever it is, you know, two more Guardians plus another couple." 'Avengers 3: Infinity War' might feature the Guardians joining the team to fight Thanos from acquiring the infinity gems.
Marvel also confirms that Thanos is going to be the villain of the third instalment of the Avengers franchise. Rumor has it that he will finally get his hands on the Power Stone that will make the set complete.
In related news, 'Thor 3: Ragnarok' is said to be the most influential in setting for the third installment of Avengers, which will be released in 2017. In the context of Marvel comics, Thor will be the first Avenger to come face to face with Thanos, since one of the Infinity Stones is kept in Asgard. From there, it impacts every Avenger movie that comes after.
The rumored crossovers are likely to happen, considering that the three storylines focus on the infinity stones. What's more, now that Sony relinquished their rights to Spider-Man to Marvel Studios, the web-slinging superhero is also set to appear in 'Avengers 3: Infinity War' - and may even be the one to save the world.
If production follows the comic origin, Spider-Man is the one who gets to prevent world destruction from happening. He manages to take back the Infinity Gauntlet and use it to reverse time and gets to undo the destruction that Thanos caused. As a result, only the web-slinger and Thanos will remember the event.
'Avengers 3: Infinity War' will be out in a two-part installment. The first one will be released in May 2018 while the second part will be unveiled in 2019.
