Halo vs. Call of Duty Video Showdown, Holiday Release For Call of Duty Black Ops 3 and Halo 5 Guardians

By

The long debate between Call of Duty fans and Halo fans has never really been settled until now, but a video that was recently uploaded on YouTube finally sparked the debate once more. Since the release of both franchises will result to a face-off this holiday season, Danny and Michael Philippou -- two aspiring film-makers, get together once more in order to make an audio-visual masterpiece.

Last Monday, May 25, Danny and Michael Philippou uploaded a video on their YouTube channel "RackaRacka" and the number of views skyrocketed to 2 million in just 2 days.

The video starts off with 4 friends having fun while playing Call of Duty, until one of them starts bashing Halo and the Xbox One. This is when things start to get interesting as Master Chief comes crashing down from the ceiling and throws a plasma grenade on the TV and starts fighting the 4 boys. This has many references to both Call of Duty and Halo, with the appearances of many of the weapons used in the games like the melee sword used by Master Chief and the Hunter Drone used in Call of Duty. The clip also has a humorous end as Master Chief is defeated by one of the 4 boys with a sniper rifle.

Although the video did not give a clear answer on which of the two franchises is better, in general, it was very entertaining thanks to Danny and Michael Philippou, who are also famous for making other videos such as their Harry Potter vs. Star Wars video. The two even ended up winning at the Australian Online Video Awards and their video has now scored more than 14 million views today.

The two games will both be released in the holiday season with Call of Duty Black Ops 3 scheduled for game launch on November 6, 2015 while Halo 5: Guardians will be available for retail on October 27, 2015.
