"Grimm" Season 5 is set to be different from the past seasons after the season four's big twist where Juliette dies on Nick's arms. Now that David Giuntoli's character lost the love of his life, will Adalind enter the picture and replace Juliette in his heart? Will their would-be love story stand next season's darker plot?
Juliette Silverton's death in the ultimate episode of "Grimm" season 4 was not that farfetched since she has been on a downward spiral halfway through the fourth season. Despite the uncertainty whether Bitsie Tulloch's exit from the show is permanent or not, her death surely caused the Nick and Juliette fans to mourn over season four's final scene.
It is also not a secret to that David Giuntoli and Bitsie Tulloch's characters are the central couple of the show that's why many are asking if Nick will eventually have another love interest. "Grimm" Showrunners David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf still have vague answers about Nick finding another romantic partner but seem to be open about a Nick and Adalind love story.
In an interview, both creators said that it is possible that Nick and Adalind, played by Claire Coffee, will be romantically linked to each other because of the baby factor. Greenwalt noted that the Adalind has "changed a lot" compared to the Adalind in the first season and even Nick has undergone to some changes as well. The report also emphasized that raising a child could change things between Nick and Adalind.
"Grimm season 5" will also clarify whether Nick will blame Jacqueline Toboni's Trubel for the death of Juliette. Trubel's decision to bury two arrows on Juliette is clearly an act to save Nick but will is that her real agenda? As one report pointed out, Trubel could have betrayed Nick by working for Agent Chavez. If this speculation turns out to be true, then it would begin a lot of conflict between Nick and Trubel.
The new season of "Grimm" will breed new conflicts brought by the death of Juliette. How will Nick handle her death? Is Adalind set to replace Juliette as Nick's new romantic partner? Will Nick blame Trubel when Juliette's death really sinks in? "Grimm" season 5 will answer these when it returns on NBC.
