Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke shares that she'll never Google herself again after she was called a "fat bitch" by one netizen. Clarke also dished the reason why she declined to play as Anastasia Grey in the movie Fifty Shades of Grey was because she was avoiding typecast.
Clarke's popularity started when she started playing Daenerys Targaryen, but she admitted she first got a taste of her popularity's negative consequence after she read a negative comment about her, "I remember when everything first kicked off, I Googled myself. You just do; it's instinct," Clarke said. "But never again. It just takes that one person who says, 'She's a fat bitch,' and you're like, 'I'm a fat bitch!'" she added. The negative comment about her reportedly made her decide that it was the last time she will ever search about herself on the internet.
In the series, Clarke was seen doing sexy scenes, but it seems like it's also the reason why she didn't accept the offer to play Anastasia Steele in the movie Fifty Shades of Grey. Clarke says she's avoiding typecast, "I really wanted to work with [Fifty Shades of Grey director] Sam Taylor-Johnson because she's f***ing amazing," Clarke confessed. "But there is a huge amount of nudity in the film. I'll never say, 'I'm never doing nudity,' because I've already done it, but I thought I might get stuck in a pigeonhole that I would have struggled to get out of."
Even though she was previously called "fat", Clarke reportedly made sure she was in her best shape for her upcoming movie, which also stars actor Arnold Schwarzenneger, Terminator Genisys. She also reportedly exerted lots of effort in order to keep up with her co-actors, "You're running with them a lot of the time, and I needed to keep up with/be better than the boys. I needed to know what to do to have Arnold go, 'Very nice." That was my goal." She said.
Clarke will probably get lots of support from her fans as she plays Sarah Conner in her upcoming movie. Terminator Genisys hits theaters in July.
